Google Glass, or how to look like a fucking douchebag.

Look Google, or, Sergey Brin. I use your products, and for the most part, I like the things you do. But this? I can’t get my head around this. If this is your idea of the fucking future, please log me out now. I was so annoyed by people who had bluetooth’s in their ear and left it there the whole day, just in case someone called. I can’t even imagine what it will be like when these overpriced pieces of crap come out.

I know you are a smart dude, and a rich mother fucker at that, but saying that our iPhones and other shitty smartphones (Android) are “emasculating us” just offends me in so many ways. I had to look that word up, after all, I only went to the Art Institute, not Stanford, like yourself. So i did a google search for the word “emasculating” and this is the first thing that pops up.

emasculating

present participle of e·mas·cu·late (Verb)
Verb

  1. Make (a person, idea, or piece of legislation) weaker or less effective.
  2. Deprive (a man) of his male role or identity: “he feels emasculated because he cannot control his sons’ behavior”.

I am quite certain that you just called me a pussy. Not just me per se, but I guess anyone who uses  a smartphone. If looking like a complete fucking idiot wearing those glasses means that I am less of a man, then so be it.

Then you gave a 10 minute TED talk and said this:

You’re actually socially isolating yourself with your phone, I feel like it’s kind of emasculating…. You’re standing there just rubbing this featureless piece of glass.- Sergey Brin

WIRED HEADLINE: Google Glass Team: ‘Wearable Computing Will Be the Norm’

I will gladly rub my piece of glass instead of wearing my phone because I, like most people, care what I look like. Isolation never felt more welcoming. I can’t be the only one who thinks this right? “Wearable” computing will not be the norm. At least not like this…

Note: The only time it is acceptable to wear a douchebag earpiece is in the fucking car while you are driving. I don’t have to say this because we all know this, but certain people, usually long haired IT guys, don’t know this, or don’t give a shit. Just wait till the IT guys get these glasses and you know it will drive you up the fucking wall. If this is the future, you are going to get your ass kicked.
